Night Train is composed of 26 players and 1 small plastic doll who is loyally devoted to keeping score for the actual members of the team. The team came together pretty organically in 2006 from people around Davis who had been playing pick up together over the winters. Tired of driving to the Bay Area to join a team (not that we don't love Bay Area ultimate), we decided to form our own hometown team.

For two years we were primarily a Davis based team, poaching a few players from Sacramento and the Bay Area. But in the winter of 2007, we started chatting with our neighbors in Sacramento about the possibility of joining forces. After a couple meetings over beer and a few crazy nights, we decided to chase the dream, and in the spring of 2008 the dream became a reality.

2009 saw some additions, including a contingent from Marin, and some subtractions, due to injuries and family planning. The 2009 Night Train roster remains as strong and dynamic as ever. . .
